Hello to all my EventTrender friends! Having a two year old and being a mompreneur can really put you behind in sharing your pictures! Throwback two years ago this weekend, I coordinated a baby jungle theme shower for my sister Tiffany with my decorating partner in crime my mom Rose. My sister was expecting her first little one...my sweetie pie nephew Brenden! The details are pretty sweet, so I wanted to share them with you because sharing ideas inspires great events!
The inspiration for this shower was the color story ~ we visited the ladies over at Luxe Event Linen to pick out the color and fabric of the linens for this special occasion. We took pictures of the look with our cell phones so we could easily bring it up when shopping for other decor elements. Plus, what really helped was the gals over at Luxe gave us mini swatches of the fabrics so that we could reference them and keep all our colors matching! Our event color palette was turquoise and lime green with splashes of orange and yellow!
The guest tables were set with a turquoise blue crush linen, white linen napkin and chairs were covered with white chair covers and tied with a mint green sash. Each guest received a bottle of lotion as a shower favor. Linens, napkins and sashes rented from Luxe Event Linen
Instead of incorporating floral into the centerpiece we filled the bases of 5" round vases with mint green and turquoise blue glass beads. Then we submerged a turquoise blue led light into the beads to illuminate the vases. We topped each centerpiece with a soft baby stuffed animal and decorated the vases with cute baby animal 3D scrapbook stickers found at various craft stores. We elevated each centerpiece with a clear glass cake pedestal purchased at Pier One. Then we added blue baby blocks and crystal gem stone stickers in the colors of blue and green to the edges of the cake pedestals.
The best part- the mommy to be and baby boy to be would get to keep all of the stuffed animals for him to play with and for her to decorate his nursery with!
ET Tip~ You can purchase these lights in many colors and they are even made to be put in water too! Here is where I purchased these Acolyte Submersible LED Floralytes from this website.
Ducky Punch...a delicious hit! Click here for the recipe featured in the post from my baby shower!
I put my heart and soul into all my events but when the event is for someone you've known your whole life, it puts a little more meaning into it, and I could not be happier how it turned out. If you have not checked out all the details from my baby shower...fast forward to eight months from this shower and check out the details of my Sunshine and Showers baby shower.
